I hope you got insurance--Ass whoopin insurance-- and you about to pay a deductable

#2 RCM Gobstopper

Normally I leave the U.K. "scene" posts to Gary especially since he's
had occassion to molest this car in person... but I have to throw out
this Time Attack compilation vid of Roger Clark Motorsports
"Gobstopper" WRX. (Memo to self to post some Non-Subaru content)

Hailing from the British Aisles and putting down over 850BHP, this beastly ass "Impretza" may be the most potent time attack Subaru ever.

This video made it's rounds on the Subaru forums, but I haven't seen
it posted elsewhere... definitely a must watch.

Rays Engineering

There is a reason that I've made the title straight to the point.

Rays Engineering, known for their Volk & Gram Light wheel ranges, is very probably my favourite wheel manufacturer of all time. Chances are, if you listed your own personal favourite "Top Ten" list of wheels(everyone has one!), there would be a Rays Engineering product in there somewhere, and I'm willing to bet that it would be in the top five.

My favourite two Rays products are the TE37, and SE37k. For the simple reason that they look great on pretty much anything you choose to bolt them onto.

Case and point
-

Regardless of wheel specification and the model of car they're fitted to, the Rays look great. Even in a high(er) offset on a car such as a Honda Civic, the TE37 looks amazing. In contrast, they look even better (In my opinion anyway!) on something such as a E46 M3.

I've added a few pictures above for some reference, Johns post below again emphasises the point of how good they look.

Subaru Aggressive fitment Originator

For a first car post on Autoculture I gotta go with a favorite... this STI spec C bugeye from Japanese subaru owner Itakichi

I came across this bugeye spec C owner's blog a while ago back in 2006 when he was "only" pushing a full widebody with GT-R face Volk Racing CE28N in 18x9.5J with +15mm offset.  This was WAY before the aggressive fitment movement began raping forums everywhere.

Needless to say he's been up to a LOT since 2006.

Enter:  18x10.5J

You can see right away that not all concave-faced Volk CE28N's are alike.  The 18x10.5 has much more angled spokes than the 18x9.5, and more lip exposed

yes, please.

10.5 looks lit it fits almost effortlessly with the wide fenders... I'm sure this guy laughs at people trying to stuff 18x9's under stock fenders.

Another 18x10.5... TE37.

The silver bugeye on the lift looks pretty good from behind too... If you come across it on Kanagawa's highways I'm sure that's all you'll ever see of it

Hey look! A reason for 18x10.5 that isn't a car show. ; )

Pretty sick that every extra inch of wheel gets put to good use.  Over here a lot of the cars posted on forums with "aggressive fitment"  seem like it was only done for "the look of a race car." This rationale doesn't seem so different from putting a giant aluminum GT wing on your trunk for some Helladownforce™.  Or people who slap a giant ass FMIC on a wrx with a stock turbo for "the look".  Or nitrous connected only to a purge valve and not even hooked up to the motor :P

This guy got it right.  Aggressive fitment is a performance mod first.
